State Fair 2013

We went to the State Fair in Dallas with my grandparents.  I had never been to the State Fair.
The first thing we did was go to the Dog Show.  I was able to sit on the front row with my grandmother  since she was in her scooter.  We had really good seats.

Step

Last week I rode Step and he is tall. We are getting ready for the show in November.

Here are some pictures of Swift.  I have had him for a year and a half now.  Swift has been a good pet and he is fun to play with outside.  His favorite thing to play with is a cardboard box and he loves to eat carrots.

Washing the Horses

The last few weeks after I ride,  I have been washing the horses. The first week I washed Fancy.  You always have to rinse the horse really well. The horses can have skin problems if you leave the soap on the horse. 

The next week I washed Checkers. Right after I washed her and let her out in the field, she rolled in the dirt! 

Tips on washing the horse

1. Gather all the supplies.

2. Get the horse all wet.

3. Use the soap and the scrubber to wash the body.

4. Rinse really well.

5. Wash the mane with shampoo and then use conditioner.

6. Do the tail with shampoo & conditioner 

7. Rinse really well. 

This week we had a new horse at the barn and his name is Step. I got to ride him and I loved him! Maybe another week, I can wash Step.

Horse Named Hooty

I started taking horse-riding lessons at Stars and Strides this summer. I love it! I have been riding Hooty and Fancy.  We have worked on showmanship and trails.  I look forward to competing sometime.

Trip to the Beach

Trip to the Beach

In August, our family went to the beach in Sandestin, Florida. The sand was awesome and white. I liked to run in the sand, play volleyball, build sand castles, and play in the water. We also had a nice swimming pool at the condo. One time,  Erin and Joshua were in the hot tub.  I was going to get in and I startled Erin!  Lol  We had a great time!
